International & Indigenous Languages Summer 2022 Elementary Program

Your child can learn a new language this summer

Your child can learn a new language this summer and have fun doing it! The International & Indigenous Languages Program at the Ottawa Catholic School Board offers a Summer Elementary Program that encourages learning a new language. Students practice speaking and listening, reading and writing while in a social, fun setting.

Virtual or In-Person

Students attending the Virtual Program may register for one morning and/or an afternoon class. They will use Google Meet for synchronous learning and Google Classroom to access learning materials. Students are required to have access to a device (Chromebook, laptop) and access to the internet.

Students attending the In-Person Program will have morning classes from 9:00 am – 11:30 am, and may select from the various languages and locations we offer.

Languages Offered

We are offering Cantonese, Croatian, Italian, Korean, Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional), Polish, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Tigrinya, and Yoruba.

Dates

The program runs July 4 – July 29, 2022, Monday to Friday. The deadline to register is June 17, 2022.

Pricing

The International & Indigenous Languages, Summer 2022 Elementary Program is offered free-of-charge to Ontario residents. Afternoon In-Person Camps and Early Drop-Off options are available at additional cost.
