Community Use of Schools

The Ottawa Catholic School Board provides access to school facilities for the promotion of physical activities for youth, adult fitness programs, and nationally recognized not-for-profit fundraising organizations. School facilities such as gymnasiums, libraries, cafeterias and classrooms, are available to the public on school operating days when a caretaker is scheduled to be on duty. Please take time to read our Frequently Asked Questions document. If you have any questions, please contact us.

How to book a school facility using E-Base

The Ottawa Catholic School Board uses an electronic application process for the Community Use of Schools. Permits and bookings are done though E-Base, software that lets you view school site availability and create and edit permits easily. The E-Base system allows you to make payments online using a credit card. The payments are based on the actual usage at the end of each month. This helps us process permits faster. Permit insurance is also available online, if needed. Please note that proof of insurance will be required before your permit can be approved.

View our Fee Schedule, then watch the introductory video to get started. Create a username and password to begin submitting applications directly to the shool you would like to use. Once your permit has been processed, or if we cannot grant your request, you will be notified by email.
