Early Learning Programs
We offer a number of child care options right in your neighbourhood, at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. With licensed Child Care (EDP), and Play-Based Walk In EarlyON Programs for your little ones, we offer programs to support the needs of all families.
Before and After-School Extended Day Program (EDP)
On regular school days, our morning program operates from 7:00 am until regular school yard supervision begins. Our afternoon program starts following school dismissal until 6:00 pm.
We will only operate on PD days and March Break if there is enough interest, enrollment, as well as adequate staffing to warrant running the full day program, and in that case, our program runs from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Spaces are limited, and fees for full days will be charged separately.
EDP Programs are available in most of our schools. Costs and registration information are listed further below on this page. Registration for EDP begins with an online application through the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist.

How to Register for Extended Day Program?
- First, register your child(ren) for the school and find out where the Extended Day Program is located and
- Then, you must apply to the waiting list on the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist.
Please note that completing the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist application does NOT register you in the OCSB EDP program. You will also need to register for the OCSB School.
Next Steps
In order to complete your application on the Child Care Registry and Waitlist for the OCSB Extended Day Programs, the school board (OCSB) must be selected under the Child Details screen. You will then be able to locate the specific EDP school program you select for the waitlist. For technical support with your application, please email Support@OneHSN.com or call 1-888-722-1540.
We will contact you to complete the registration process once there is space for your child in the program. You will receive a second confirmation email when you’ve completed registration and your child has a spot in EDP. Once your child has a spot, there is a two-week waiting period before starting the program.

Access the EDP Parent Portal Once Your Child is Enrolled
If your child is currently registered in the Extended Day Program, you can use the EDP Parent Portal to update your personal information.

EarlyON Child and Family Centres
Our EarlyON Child and Family Centres offer FREE programs for families and caregivers with children 0 to 6 years old.
Join us to:
- Learn and play with your child.
- Connect with families in your community.
- Access information, resources and referrals from early childhood professionals.
- Discuss topics such as play-based learning, child development, school readiness, parenting and community services.

** After careful consideration, the Ottawa Catholic School Board has made the challenging decision to close Divine Infant and St. Elizabeth EarlyON centres, as of August 30, 2025.
This decision stems from a combination of ongoing challenges, including staffing challenges, funding constraints, service duplication in neighbourhoods, and space limitations.
We understand the significant impact this closure will have on families and the community. This was not a decision we made lightly, as we deeply value the connections and experiences built within our communities. We hope that you will join us in one of our four EarlyON Programs.

The Ottawa Catholic Child Care Corporation (OCCCC) also operates several third-party child care programs in our schools. The OCCCC programs offer Kindergarten and School-Age programs with flexible care options. Some programs also offer toddler and preschool programs.
Registration for OCCCC programs is done through the City of Ottawa’s Child Care Registry and Waitlist. To complete your application on the City of Ottawa’s Child Care Registry and Waitlist for the OCCCC Child Care Programs, the school board (OCSB) must be selected under the Child Details screen. You will then be able to locate the specific school program you select for the waitlist.
