We care for your child so they care about learning

We know there is a strong correlation between mental health and student achievement. When your child feels welcomed, included, understood and supported, they can better engage with classroom learning. Our staff work together to ensure your child has a safe and strong foundation to learn.

Social and emotional life skills

We recognize that your child’s school plays an important role in helping them learn and develop social and emotional life skills. They use these skills to navigate the challenges and opportunities they face in their daily life. From Kindergarten to Grade 12, we help your child develop these skills to set them up for success both today and in the future.

Healthy staff lead healthy schools

We know that our staff need to be well to support your child’s well-being. That’s why we provide our staff with professional learning opportunities and training to learn about topics like anxiety, social-emotional learning, grief, self-care and mental health first-aid. This training helps our staff navigate mental health resources and supports they can access for both themselves and your child.

Investing in supports for your child

We’ve made significant investments to ensure we have trained professionals to support the needs of your child’s well-being. We have psychologists, social workers, speech and language pathologists, and addictions counsellors to support all of our schools. If you have concerns about your child’s mental health, contact your school principal who can provide you with information, resources and direction to best support your child’s mental health at school.
