Rebuilding Wheels, Rebuilding Lives

A St. Paul Story About Skill, Service, and Community

At St. Paul High School, learning has always gone beyond the classroom. The students don’t just build projects; they build confidence, purpose, and genuine connections with the Ottawa community. One of the most meaningful ways they are doing that right now is through the Rebuilding Wheels Rebuilding Lives (RWRL) program.

What This Program Means for St. Paul

RWRL supports Ottawa residents who face transportation barriers by providing refurbished, used vehicles to those who need a reliable way to get to work, school, or training. It opens doors. It changes opportunities. It provides families with the stability that many of us take for granted.

For St. Paul students, this work is personal. The students and staff in the Elite Skilled Trades Academy are the hands, minds, and hearts behind every vehicle that gets back on the road. Their skills are making a direct and powerful difference in the lives of people who live right here in Ottawa. It is Deep Learning in its most authentic form, where students apply fundamental skills to meet real-life needs.

This isn’t just hands-on learning. It is service. It is leadership. St. Paul students are living this year’s Spiritual Theme by building bridges between the school and the broader community in a way that nourishes new beginnings for others.

A Chance to Support Someone in the St. Paul Community

Because this work is so deeply connected to St. Paul’s neighbourhood, the students will give priority to residents from the St. Paul community. If someone in your network could benefit from a reliable vehicle, let them know about the extraordinary work happening at St. Paul High School.
