Last September, our students arrived as one version of themselves. Today, they walk out as another, a little taller, a little braver, a little more themselves. That kind of change comes from ten months of curiosity, courage, and connection.
This year, learning took every shape imaginable. Students explored the outdoors. They asked big questions about STEM and experienced Deep Learning. They built understanding through truth and reconciliation, heritage, and identity. They sang, danced, wrote, gardened, and grew, not just as learners, but as people of faith and members of a community that builds bridges.
Water days brought one last cool down with classmates, though plenty more summer splashing is sure to follow. A writing club met their pen pals in person over a picnic lunch, turning months of letters into real friendship. Students welcomed Indigenous community members who shared hoop dancing, traditional songs and teachings, continuing a year filled with meaning.
A potluck celebrated the multiculturalism that enriches our communities. A running club wrapped up with one final lap. A Kindergarten class led their school in a year-end Liturgy filled with joyful song and deep gratitude. And of course, what year would be complete without a classroom ice cream party?
To every member of staff who shared a tweet, a lesson, a laugh, or a quiet moment of encouragement, thank you. To our students, congratulations. Whether you are graduating from Kindergarten, heading into your intermediate years, starting high school, or crossing the final stage as a graduate, you have grown in ways big and small, and we cannot wait to see where you go next.
Have a wonderful, safe summer. Rest, play, explore, and find joy even in the ordinary days ahead. And wherever this next chapter takes you, embrace the adventure of life.
See you in September! 🌞🎓✨
