Remote Learning Tomorrow
As we advised on Sunday, all OCSB in-person students will move to remote learning tomorrow, Friday, November 4.
What Can You Expect On Friday?
Educators will connect with each student on Friday to ensure they have the devices and information they need to participate in remote learning. Your Principal will have contacted you about what to expect on Friday from your child’s teacher (i.e. time of Google meet or phone call). Tomorrow will be a student learn-at-home day (asynchronous learning). In addition to contacting their students, educators will spend Friday preparing to move to remote learning and troubleshooting access or technology issues.
What Can You Expect on Monday?
If the CUPE strike/political protest continues on Monday, November 7, educators will follow the regular school schedule online. Remote learning will continue as long as a strike/political protest occurs.
Further Updates
We will continue sharing labour disruption updates with parents via email, school, and board websites.
Thank You
We continue to hope for a negotiated settlement. We value our CUPE staff and recognize their significant contributions to our students and their families.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
