Many families in the Ottawa Catholic School Board will be switching from virtual learning to in-person learning next week. If your child is eligible to receive transportation to school, here is some important information from the Ottawa School Transportation Authority (OSTA) that may impact your family.
Make your own arrangements for the first week
The Ottawa School Transportation Authority (OSTA) encourages parents to make their own transportation arrangements for the first week of school as their system updates.
Check the OSTA Parent Portal to determine when your child’s transportation arrangements are in place and if the bus or van is operating.
Presto passes
If your child is eligible to receive an OC Transpo Presto pass, they should receive it at school within a few days of starting in-person learning.
Opting out of transportation
If you are not planning to use OSTA’s transportation services and will be making your own arrangements to get to school, please complete the Opt-out of Transportation Form. If you change your mind later in the year, you can request to be reassigned to transportation by contacting OSTA.
