OCSB Parent Portal
Report cards for the 2019-2020 school year are now available. Login to your account to view your child’s report card.
If you have not registered for a Parent Portal account, follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Register
Before you can use the Parent Portal, you must register so that we can verify your information. This ensures that only authorized parents/guardians are able to view their child’s report card. You only need to register once, even if you have more than one child in the OCSB. Your secure account will give you access to all of your children’s report card data.
To register, you will need to provide the following information. To ensure privacy and security it must match the data that is on record with the school:
- Email address of Parent/Guardian
- First name of Parent/Guardian
- Last name of Parent/Guardian
- House Number (the number in the home address) of the youngest child in the family who is registered in an OCSB school
- Birthdate of the youngest child in the family who is registered in an OCSB school
Step 2: Activate your account
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a link. Click the link in the email to set up your password and activate your Parent Portal account.
Step 3: Access the Parent Portal
There are two ways to access the Parent Portal: online through a web browser, or on a mobile device through an iOS and Android app. Both provide the same student information, but the app will allow you to receive notifications.
Click the button below to go to the portal login screen. If using your phone, click the Install App button in the bottom right corner of the login screen.
If you are having trouble registering or logging into your parent portal account, review the instructions below and ensure the school has your email address.
If you are following the instructions but are still unable to log in, we may not have your correct email address. Complete this contact information form to provide your current email address. You will need to wait 24 hours for our systems to update the information before trying again.

Questions about registration
I entered all the correct information, but still could not register
We are aware that some correct data has not been accepted by the system. We have identified the cause of the problem and are working with the vendor. We expect to have a solution in place late Friday or over the weekend. If you are not able to register by Monday afternoon (June 22), email firstname.lastname@example.org
I registered, but did not receive the confirmation email to activate my account.
First, verify that you are checking the inbox of the account that you listed when you registered. Then, check your Spam or Junk mail. If you still do not find the confirmation email, then go back to the Parent Portal and re-register. The confirmation email should come quickly. If this does not work, email email@example.com and explain the situation.
I only have a phone and no computer
The parent portal is available as an app for both iOS and Android. Go to ocsb.ca/parentportal and scroll down to the Go to login button. Click the Install App button in the bottom right corner of the login screen. Open the app and click the “register here” link at the top of the screen. More information on registering is available on ocsb.ca/parentportal.
I don’t have a way to access the report card online
All families were provided with a device to ensure their children could participate in online learning. Parents can use this device (through their child’s student login) to access the internet.
Questions about your account
I logged in but cannot see all of my children.
This is because the data provided for each student does not match in our system. Please complete this Contact Information Form with the information for the child missing from your account. The data should be updated and appear in your account within 24 hours.
I filled in the Contact Information Form. It has been two days and I still cannot see my child’s data.

Why does my child have absences listed for the school closure period when she was learning at home?
Attendance was not tracked during the school closure, but the automated system used by some schools may have recorded some absences during this time before being reset. Staff are reviewing records school by school and resolving any errors. The information should be corrected by the time report cards are available at the end of June.
Some of the data does not look right on my report card.
Email your child’s school with any concerns. Office staff in the elementary schools (grades K-6) are not employed during summer, so you may not get a response until the end of August. High school staff (grades 7-12) do monitor the school email throughout the summer.
Why do we have a parent portal?
The OCSB Parent Portal will be the central platform for parents to get information about their students. The mobile app version also provides notifications. We are in the early stages of developing the portal. The work was accelerated in order to provide online report cards during the school closure. Further functionality will be added over the summer and during the coming school year.
