The Ottawa Catholic School Board joins the nation in mourning following the tragic events at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver. We hold the victims, their families, first responders, and the entire Filipino community in our hearts and prayers.
As a Catholic school community, we are called to open our doors to those who are hurting, build bridges of compassion, and nourish new beginnings grounded in faith, hope, and love. In moments of sorrow, we find strength by standing together and offering our prayers, support, and solidarity.
We stand alongside Vancouver’s Filipino community and all grieving across Canada. We pray for healing, peace, and comfort in the days ahead.
