Join us for the first-ever OCSB Family Expo on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:50 am to 12:30 pm at St. Paul High School, for a welcoming morning of workshops, resources and connections to help families feel informed and supported throughout their child’s educational journey.
Organized in partnership with the Catholic School Parents’ Association – Parent Involvement Committee (Ottawa CSPA-PIC), the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), and the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB), this free event is designed to connect families with information, resources and people who can support their children’s success at school, at home and in the community.
Whether your family is new to Ottawa, navigating your child’s educational journey, exploring future pathways or looking for practical strategies and support, there is something for everyone.
Explore Family-Focused Workshops
Families can choose from three rounds of workshops covering topics from elementary through secondary school, including:
- Welcome to School: A Guide for Families New to Ottawa.
- Nourishing New Beginnings: Home, School and Parish as Partners in Education.
- Positive Advocacy: Building Confidence, Connection and Community.
- Where Did That Mark Come From? Assessment and Evaluation in Grades 7–12.
- Careers on the Rise: Exploring Pathways, Skilled Trades and Future Opportunities.
- From School Avoidance to Engagement: Tools to Support Your Child’s Return to School.
Each session is designed to offer practical information, helpful strategies and opportunities to ask questions and connect.
Visit the Community Resource Café
Throughout the morning, families can explore the Community Resource Café, featuring community organizations, OCSB departments and partners who support children, youth and families.
Stop by to ask questions, learn about available services and discover resources that can support your family throughout your child’s educational journey.
Complimentary Child-Minding
We want the whole family to feel welcome. Complimentary child-minding * will be available during the event, allowing parents and caregivers to participate in sessions and make the most of the morning.
Space may be limited, so advance registration is required. Please indicate your child-minding needs when registering.
* Please note: Children participating in child-minding must be fully toilet-trained and able to use the washroom independently.
