Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week – November 20-24

We at the Ottawa Catholic School Board are committed to preventing bullying in all its forms. Our educators and staff work tirelessly to identify and address instances of bullying, and we take this issue seriously at every level. We aim to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and valued in our schools. As we gear up for Ontario’s Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, taking place from November 20 to 24, it’s more important than ever to stand together against bullying. Let’s work together to raise awareness and make our communities kinder and more inclusive places for all.

What is Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week?

The Ministry of Ontario officially designates the third week of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week in our province. This exciting initiative empowers schools, educators, and students to unite against bullying to help create a safer and more inclusive school environment for all.

Throughout the week, our students will delve into the topic of bullying and gain knowledge on how to establish healthy relationships. Educators and students will learn to recognize bullying and work together to prevent it, intervene when necessary, and provide support. Please follow us on social media using the hashtag #ocsbSpeakOut and join the conversation.
