Join Us As We Celebrate Black Students
Please join us in celebrating Black OCSB students on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Catholic Education Centre Board Room at 570 West Hunt Club Road. Discover how you can support your child’s success. You can participate online or in person. During the event, we will share ideas, engage in conversation and discuss possible strategies to improve home-school-community partnerships. This year’s theme is Empowering Excellence: Uniting for Student Academic Success. The OCSB has had the privilege of running engaging parent workshops in the past with positive feedback. Parents left feeling empowered and motivated to contribute to the solution.
Your Voice Makes a Difference
Your voice matters in your child’s education. Engagement is a two-way street where a true partnership exists between families and schools. When families engage with their school community, students succeed. Student achievement improves, disciplinary issues decrease, and authentic relationship-building can happen.
Childcare is Available
We have partnered with the Catholic School Parent Association (CSPA), Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) and Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) to provide child-minding services. There will be entertainment and school-safe snacks for the children.
