Mark your calendars! Kindness Week is February 14 to 18 at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. It’s a week when our community highlights #ocsbKindness through purposeful action. Our spiritual theme comes to life in our school communities as students and staff express gratitude through acts of kindness.

We encourage you to join us next week to do your part to spread the message of kindness in your schools and work sites. Are you up for the challenge? Don’t forget to share what you’re doing on social media using the #ocsbKindness hashtag! Let the fun begin.
Don’t forget about Pink Shirt Day – February 23!

Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students from Nova Scotia took a stand against bullying and invited their friends to join in. How did they do it? It was simple. David Shepherd and Travis Price bought 75 pink shirts to give to other boys in their school to show their support for a boy in grade 9 who was bullied. Their small act of kindness and courage sparked a movement that grew far beyond anything they could have imagined! Today thousands of people throughout the world wear symbolic shirts to fight bullying. Join us on Wednesday, February 23, for #ocsbPinkShirtDay and don’t forget to share your selfies on social media using our hashtag!
