This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling was shaped by the Easter season, a time that speaks of hope, renewal, and the enduring promise that new life is always possible.
Across our schools, students gathered in prayer, reflection, and celebration. They encountered the Easter story not just as history, but as something living and present, a message that calls each of us toward love, compassion, and service. These are not just Catholic values. They are the foundation of who we are called to be together.
That spirit of togetherness matters deeply. Our schools are communities where every student is seen, valued, and welcomed as they are. Faith does not ask us to look past our differences. It asks us to honour them, recognizing the dignity in every person we meet.
Outside, spring is quietly making its presence known, and there is something fitting about that. The season mirrors the message of Easter, reminding us that growth often begins in small, hidden places and that new life has a way of emerging when we least expect it. Students are part of that unfolding, too, learning and becoming, one day at a time.
In our classrooms and hallways, faith and belonging are not separate things. They are woven together, shaping communities where students can root themselves in something meaningful and reach toward something greater. This is what Easter looks like in our schools. Not just a story we tell, but a life we are learning to live. ✨🌷🙏
