This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling was all about courage and creativity.
Our schools joined the global celebration of International Dot Day, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot. The story follows Vashti, a student who believes she’s “no good at art” until her teacher encourages her to make just one mark. That single dot sparks a journey of self-expression, confidence, and sharing creativity with others.
Hallways and classrooms across the OCSB came alive with dots of every kind: paintings, performances, music, and movement. Through the arts, our students continue to build confidence, think deeply, and collaborate with joy.
This week reminded us that with encouragement and imagination, even the smallest mark can grow into something extraordinary.
