This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling carried the gentle energy of early spring. While the calendar says the season is still on its way, warmer days and brighter skies made it feel as though spring had already begun, with curiosity, creativity, and connection blooming across our classrooms.
Students explored learning through hands-on discovery and imagination. Simple materials became towers, patterns, and inventive creations as young learners built together, planting the seeds of problem-solving and collaboration. In other classrooms, students stepped into the role of scientists, experimenting, observing, and asking thoughtful questions about the world around them.
Learning also blossomed through language and storytelling. Students practiced new words, shared ideas, and grew their confidence in communicating with one another. Nearby, the quiet joy of reading spread through classrooms as students discovered books that sparked their imaginations and opened doors to new perspectives, much like the first buds of the season.
Creativity flourished in many forms throughout the week. Some students gathered around tables for strategy games that encouraged teamwork and critical thinking, while others stepped outdoors to explore nature and notice the small signs of a season slowly waking up. Well-being remained an important part of the learning experience. Moments of movement and mindfulness offered time to slow down, breathe, and reconnect, while cozy classroom traditions created spaces where students felt supported and ready to grow.
Like a garden beginning to bloom, these moments remind us that learning thrives when curiosity is nurtured and community is cared for. As the days grow brighter, our classrooms continue to flourish with creativity, kindness, and the joy of growing together. 🌱🌸
