Friday Feeling | One Hundred Days of Heart

This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling is full of the moments that make our schools such special places to learn and grow.

Classrooms across the system marked the 100th Day of School with energy, imagination, and a whole lot of joy. From creative math activities in Kindergarten to older students teaming up with their Grade 6 buddies to design Valentine’s art, learning and connection were happening side by side.

Kindness was just as easy to spot. Students were recognized with gold medals for showing compassion, setting the tone for Winter Olympic celebrations filled with encouragement, teamwork, and school spirit.

Beyond the classroom, students experienced the joy of live jazz at the National Arts Centre, explored new literacy learning through Project Read, and continued learning and reflecting during Black History Month. Many had the opportunity to hear from our own Superintendent, Dr. Prince Ehoro, whose stories of leadership, culture, and kindness left a lasting impression.

After 100 days, what stands out most is not just how much students have learned, but how much they have grown together. With curiosity. With courage. With heart.
