Friday Feeling | Reflections of Courage

This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling arrived wrapped in two things Canadians know well: the season’s first snowfall and a moment of deep remembrance.

Across our schools, students paused the rush of daily life to stand together in quiet reflection. They prayed for peace, honoured those who served, and held space for the hope our world still needs.

Wreaths, poems, hand-painted poppies, and thoughtful displays filled our hallways and classrooms. Each one became a small but powerful reminder that gratitude is lived, not just spoken, and that courage and compassion still have the power to shape history and the future our students will build.

This week captured what learning is all about: hearts that remember, minds that grow, and communities that move forward together.
