Friday Feeling | Stories That Connect Us

This week’s #ocsbFridayFeeling was all about celebrating who we are. Each culture, story, and tradition adds to the beauty of our school communities.

Classrooms were filled with colour, sound, and celebration as students explored the many ways culture shapes who we are. From learning about Diwali to marking Caribbean Heritage Month with music, food, and storytelling, they shared traditions that highlight the richness of our community. These experiences reminded everyone that diversity is more than something we recognize; it’s something we live and celebrate together.

Students also discovered how curiosity and kindness can build bridges of understanding. Whether exploring the fall foliage, solving math challenges, or creating art inspired by nature, every moment reflected the joy of learning together.

Each celebration and shared smile this week reminded us that when we build bridges, we bring our world a little closer together.
