Building Bridges of Kindness and Mercy

This week, you could turn your attention to the bridges we build in our communities. Lent invites us to walk in Christ’s footsteps—showing kindness, offering mercy, and reaching out to those in need. In OCSB classrooms, students participate in lessons and activities that foster empathy, from helping a classmate to volunteering for school initiatives.

What bridges can we build at home? Consider a family kindness challenge: each day, commit to one act of kindness, whether it’s a simple word of encouragement, a helping hand, or a moment of patience. These small actions strengthen our communities and reflect the love Christ calls us to share. Let’s use this week to bring a little more kindness into the world.

Join the Conversation with #ocsbLent

We encourage students, staff, and our wider OCSB community to share their Lenten experiences on social media using #ocsbLent. This season reminds us to be kind, generous, and thoughtful in our actions. Let’s use Lent as an opportunity to grow in faith and inspire positive change in our hearts, schools, and beyond.
