Next week students in Kindergarten to grade 12 will participate in our board’s first STEAM Week! Nope, we’re not talking about a Nordic spa experience– STEAM week is an opportunity for your child to celebrate and explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math through various learning activities and virtual events.
From February 22-26, we will focus on a different letter of STEAM: On Monday, we explore science. Tuesday, we take a closer look at technology & the trades. Wednesday is all about engineering! Thursday, we investigate the arts. And Friday, we cap off the week with a fun day of math.
A week of exploring career opportunities!
It’s no coincidence that STEAM week occurs right when high school students choose their courses for next year! Our high school experience is all about encouraging your child to explore their skills and interests. STEAM week can open up opportunities for your child to get a taste for areas of science, trades and technology, engineering, arts and math before they choose courses for next year.
