Occasional Teaching Roster
In order to be considered for occasional teaching opportunities, you must be on the OCSB Occasional Teaching Roster. The OCSB is currently accepting applications for occasional teaching through Apply to Education. Please ensure you have created an ATE account prior to applying.
Long-term occasional (LTO) positions
Teachers wanting to apply for a permanent teaching position must first apply to the Long Term Occasional (LTO) List. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 months seniority and a minimum of 20 full teaching days (or equivalent), within the last five years, to be considered for the LTO List.

Permanent teaching positions
Teachers wanting to apply for a permanent teaching position must have first completed the requirements under Hiring Practice Regulations 274/12 and 148/13. Additionally, you may be considered for permanent after completing a minimum four month LTO contract, and having received a positive Teacher Evaluation from a school principal. (teacher must request that the evaluation form be completed)
If you have already satisfied the requirements listed above, you may browse our listing of current permanent teaching opportunities, by clicking on the appropriate category on the right. If selected for a permanent position, at the time of hire, you will be required to provide a negative tuberculin test (obtained within the last twelve months) and an original Police Records Check (for the vulnerable sector) obtained within the last six months. Please note that the Police Records Check must be dated within the six months prior to your first day of teaching.
