Proposed boundary change impacting St. James & St. Anne Schools

If your family lives in the Bridlewood neighbourhood of Kanata South, we’re proposing changes to the school boundaries of St. James School and St. Anne School and would like your input!

Current option area for St. James and St. Anne School

If your family lives in the “option area” between St. James and St. Anne School, although you are in the St. Anne boundary, you can choose to attend St. James School instead. We have given parents this option since 2017 to reduce overcrowding at St. Anne school.

What are we proposing to change, and why?

We are building a new addition at St. James School that is expected to be complete for September 2022. When the project is complete, we would like to permanently change the boundary so families living in the “option area” would attend St. James School.  The desired outcome of this change would balance enrolment between the two schools. It would also reduce overcrowding and the need for portables at St. Anne School.
