2018 Municipal election process for Trustees

The next regular municipal elections will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018. This includes election for the office of school board Trustee. A candidate for school board trustee must be eligible to be nominated as a candidate for election under Section 219 of the Education Act. A candidate for a Catholic school board must, upon nomination, be a qualified municipal elector and fulfill all the following requirements:

Candidates are not required to reside within the electoral zone. An eligible person must nominate himself or herself by completing and filing a nomination form called a Nomination Paper with the City of Ottawa, Elections Office and must pay the nomination filing fee.
