
Trustee Mark. D. Mullan was acclaimed as the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) Chairperson, while Trustee Jeremy Wittet was elected as Vice-Chairperson at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Trustee Mullan is in his 23rd year of serving Catholic students. He represents Zone 8, Alta Vista/Gloucester Southgate. Trustee Mullan served three years as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2008-2011. This will be his fifth term as Chair of the Board. He already served as the Chair in 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2018-2019, 2019-2020.
Trustee Wittet represents Zone 7, Kitchissippi/Bay, and has served as Trustee since 2017. This is his second time as the OCSB Vice-Chair he also held the role in 2018-2019.
The OCSB Board of Trustees is comprised of 10 Trustees elected by zones and two Student Trustees. The Trustees play a vital role in setting policy, establishing a budget that focuses on a faith-filled environment that promotes student achievement and advocates for student and staff well-being. OCSB Trustees serve 45,000 students in 84 schools and four education sites.
