Every year, our employees go above and beyond in their generosity toward the Catholic Education Foundation of Ottawa (CEFO) through our annual charitable campaign. This morning, OCSB Charitable Campaign Co-Chairs Sheri Stashick and Jennifer Carroll launched the “Be Hope” campaign virtually by email to all staff of the Ottawa Catholic School Board.
“While we know not everyone will be in a position to donate, we encourage those who are able to give a gift of hope this year.”
Jennifer Carroll, OCSB Charitable Campaign Co-Chair
CEFO works hard to alleviate the effects of poverty on students in our schools by providing things like winter clothing, vouchers for food, funds for hydro and electricity and resources to get medicine and necessary supplies to families who are struggling. The pandemic has amplified the constant and increasing need in our school communities throughout our Board. The campaign ends Friday, November 27, 2020.
Two ways “be hope” this November
- Consider making a recurring or one-time donation to CEFO. 100% of the funds donated to CEFO by e-transfer, cheque, or payroll deduction go directly to the needs of our students and their families. Or if you prefer, you could make a donation to the United Way of East Ontario.
- Share a message of hope on social media using #ocsbHope. You can share your favourite quote, a passage from Scripture, or your own message to our OCSB family as we continue to make sense of life during this global pandemic.
