Distance Learning Option for Families – September 2020

On July 9, an update about return to school plans was shared with parents. Throughout the next few weeks, we will continue with our planning for the return to our schools in September. The Ottawa Catholic School Board is prepared to offer remote education for students whose parents choose, for personal reasons, not to send their children back to school in September.

As we hope you can appreciate, there are several factors that we need to consider that require considerable planning to welcome our students back in person or through distance learning.  Please complete this short survey so that we can more accurately plan.

For staffing and planning purposes, we ask families who choose full-time distance learning as the September option to commit to three months (September – November) for elementary students and Semester 1 (September- January) for high school students.

Your children will be assigned to a class grouping as they would in a conventional school year. Assigning students will allow class groupings to be maintained despite the form of delivery that is in place.

While circumstances may change, we ask you to please complete this short survey by Wednesday, July 22, 2020, to indicate your plans for September 2020.

Thank you for your support.
