How to Apply for a Permanent Teaching Position
Teachers wanting to apply for a permanent teaching position must first have completed the requirements under Regulation 274/12 and 148/13 as outlined below. Subsequent to this, upon completion of a minimum four (4) month LTO contract and having received a positive evaluation from a principal, you may be considered for permanent hire.
How to Apply to the LTO Roster
Teachers wanting to apply for a permanent teaching position with the Ottawa Catholic School Board must first apply to the Long Term Occasional (LTO) Roster in accordance with Regulations 274/12 and 148/13 – Hiring Practices. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 months seniority that is within five years and a minimum of 20 full teaching days to be considered for the roster. Interviews will take place as follows
- January 2014 - LTO roster interviews
- Late July 2014 and August 2014 - LTO roster interviews
If selected for a permanent position, at the time of hire, you will be required to provide a negative tuberculin test (obtained within the last twelve (12) months) and a police records check (vulnerable sector) obtained within the last six (6) months.
